It’s still pretty early on election night, but the takeaway is that Democrats failed to convince large swaths of the country that Trump and the Republican Party are dangerous. GOP May lose control of the House, but looks poised to build a comfortable lead in the Senate. Republicans poised to win Florida governor and Senate races, which would be huge. Overall, it wasn’t a “blue wave” and the other good news is that Nancy Pelosi may be reinstated as Speaker of the House. That probably would ensure a Trump victory in 2020! All in all, not too bad for Republicans.
