Once upon a time in America, when a president went overseas, there was a ceasefire on domestic politics in order to be sure not to weaken the president’s hand with our foreign adversaries.
All that went out the window when President Trump — the most hated president since Abraham Lincoln — was elected. Today the Resistance will do anything to weaken the president — up to and including putting our national security at risk.
So on Wednesday when President Trump is meeting with Kim Jong Un in Hanoi to try to reach agreement on denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, Trump’s enemies will be interrogating Michael Cohen, Trump’s former attorney, in a public forum intended solely to embarrass Trump and possibly lead to his impeachment.
Don’t let yourself think for a moment that the timing of these simultaneous events is coincidental. It’s all part and parcel of the Deep State’s assault on democracy. I wrote earlier this month about the execrable behavior of Trump’s national security team undermining him by their public testimony in the Worldwide Threat Assessment, and now through a carefully orchestrated effort, Cohen (the convicted liar who is going to prison in May) has been given a platform to do maximum damage to the president. The Deep State senators and representatives had something to do with that, trust me.
Remember, Cohen was originally scheduled to testify before Congress on Feb. 7. It was then rescheduled to Feb. 12, and then miraculously rescheduled again to Feb. 27 and 28, the very days when President Trump will be holding his two-day meeting with the North Korean leader.
It was reported by mid January that a Trump-Kim summit would be taking place in “late February,” but a specific date was not announced until President Trump’s phenomenally successful State of the Union address on Feb. 5. As Trump’s popularity surged (and speculation grew that the Mueller probe would be anti-climactic) no doubt his political enemies were plotting a strategy for how to hinder him from having another huge success such as a deal with North Korea. Suddenly, Cohen was “unavailable” for testimony on the previously scheduled dates of Feb. 7 and Feb. 12, but, gee, it turns out he won’t have any problem being on Capitol Hill while Trump is in Hanoi. Imagine that!
Sure, I can’t prove that Cohen and congressional Democrats colluded with each other to try to undermine the president, but the timing is offensive to any patriotic American, whether intentional or not. At some point the Democrats have to take responsibility for trying to destroy this president. If they didn’t intend that, they would have moved the Cohen testimony to next week, at the very least.

Cohen is a lying POS… He’s got nothing!!! Nothing that is believable. He’s trying to see if he can get a reduced sentence.
