Whoopi Goldberg crushes new Hollywood blacklist of conservatives [VIDEO]

The pendulum is swinging hard right in Hollywood, and it couldn’t happen soon enough.

No, of course, the Coastal Elites of California didn’t suddenly disown communism, but they are at least starting to realize that they don’t have cart blanche to destroy lives of the people they despise.

Maybe.

I wrote earlier about how “Will & Grace” co-stars Debra Messing and Eric McCormack had called for doxxing celebrities and execs who attend a Beverly Hills fundraiser for President Trump. They explicitly said they wanted the names so they knew who NOT to work with. The president responded, and so did conservative actor John O’Hurley, but that was to be expected.

What really pushed the pendulum back from the far left was the remarkable dressing down of Messing by Whoopi Goldberg for her dangerous call for a new blacklist against Hollywood’s hidden conservatives. Watch here:

On “The View” yesterday, Goldberg went full Joseph Welch on Messing and co-star McCormack. If you don’t know who Welch is, watch this. He was the last straw that ended the tyrannical rein of Sen. Joe McCarthy in the 1950s as he went from protecting the US from communists to “protecting us” from free speech.

Disagree with Goldberg all you will (and in many respects she is a dangerous mouthpiece of anti-American rhetoric) but she is an intelligent woman who has the capacity to persuade millions from her platform. When she publicly scolded Messing and McCormack, it did more good to shame them than all the complaints from conservatives such as myself put together.

Goldberg explicitly summoned up the ghost of Joseph McCarthy when she upbraided the Hollywood elites who so casually called for a blacklist.

“Listen, the last time people did this, people ended up killing themselves. This is not a good idea, OK? Your idea of who you don’t want to work with is your personal business. Do not encourage people to print out lists because the next list that comes out, your name will be on and then people will be coming after you.

“We had something called a blacklist and a lot of really good people were accused of stuff. Nobody cared whether it was true or not. They were accused. And they lost their right to work. You don’t have the right! In this country, people can vote for who they want to. That is one of the great rights of this country.”

No doubt to Goldberg’s chagrin, the meltdown of Messing and McCormack was one more notch in the shield of righteousness carried by President Trump.

Good point by the president about the double standard in Hollywood.
