A real whistleblower says Biden had a conflict in Ukraine all along

“Ever since the Fake Ukrainian Impeachment story started, I have been waiting for someone to debunk the Democrat excuse that Biden was just doing the bidding of the powerful European Community when he bullied Ukraine into firing the prosecutor who was investigating his son Hunter’s company, Burisma.

It was such a convenient excuse that it almost looked like a manufactured alibi, and to some extent it obviously turned Europe into the tail that wagged the dog. It was always more likely that the US also bullied the EU into opposing Prosecutor Shokin than that Biden was doing the bidding of the Europeans or the “international community.”

The closest I came to expressing this thought was in my column two weeks ago titled “The Curious Case of the Incurious Press.” In that indictment of the Fake News Media, I wrote:

“When you asked who debunked the claim that Biden had pressured the Ukrainian president to fire the prosecutor by threatening to withhold aid, you got no response except that other European countries also wanted the prosecutor fired (as if that proved anything).”

The parenthesis was my shorthand way of hinting that the Europeans would bend over backwards to keep Biden and Obama happy. If Biden told the EU financial community that Shokin needed to go, they would have been happy to oblige. But that was just my guess. Now we have evidence of that.

As Sean Davis reports at The Federalist, U.S. diplomat George Kent has testified before the Schiff Star Chamber that “the Obama administration — with former Vice President Joe Biden as its point man — orchestrated the firing of the Ukrainian prosecutor who was investigating a company connected to the Biden family. … [Kent], a State Department official who works on the agency’s Ukraine portfolio, directly contradicts claims that the Obama administration was merely following the lead of the so-called international community in demanding the firing of Viktor Shokin, a controversial Ukrainian prosecutor who was reportedly investigating Burisma, a global energy company long suspected of corruption and money laundering.”

“Kent told lawmakers on Tuesday that the Obama administration spearheaded the efforts to have Shokin removed from his position as the top federal prosecutor in Ukraine. Kent said the international community — namely the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Western nations within the European Union — were deferential to U.S. directives on the matter.”

In addition, the Washington Post reports that Kent had blown the whistle in 2015 on the conflict of interest of Vice President Biden wielding power over Ukraine at the same time his son was racking up thousands of dollars working for a company under suspicion of corruption.

“Kent said he had concerns that Ukrainian officials would view Hunter Biden as a conduit for currying influence with his father, said the people. But when Kent raised the issue with Biden’s office, he was told the then-vice president didn’t have the “bandwidth” to deal with the issue involving his son as his other son, Beau, was battling cancer, said the people familiar with his testimony.”

That is damn interesting, but don’t think the Washington Post has changed its ways and is now playing fair with the president. A few paragraphs later, the Post again lets Biden off the hook:

“Although many of Trump’s charges regarding Hunter Biden have been unfounded, the elder Biden has faced questions about why he didn’t anticipate concerns about potential conflicts of interest as he took a leading role in carrying out U.S. policy toward Ukraine.” (Emphasis mine)

And again later in the story:

“Trump and his allies have made the unsubstantiated claim that Biden pressed for the prosecutor’s firing to protect his son.” (Emphasis mine)

Yeah, we’ve seen this tactic from the beginning. Any allegation that Trump raises is unfounded, baseless or unsubstantiated, and any allegation raised against Trump is instantly proven and an “impeachable offense”. Nonetheless, with friends like George Kent, the Democratic Coup Crew had better watch out or the truth is gonna bite them in the butt!
