Schiff covering up the CIA plot against Trump, but for how long?

Devin Nunes, R-Calif, the ranking member, asks questions of witnesses as the Democrat-controlled panel pushed ahead with their oversight of the Trump administration at a hearing to examine to examine "Putin's Playbook," how the Russian government works to undermine its adversaries, especially the U.S., on Capitol Hill in Washington, Thursday, March 28, 2019. Longtime readers of this column know that I was reporting on questions about the legitimacy of the whistleblower complaint against President Trump from the start.

Now it looks like Republican members of Congress are trying to find out whether the system was rigged against Trump.

Reporter Sara Carter interviewed Rep. Devin Nunes, the House Intelligence Committee’s ranking member, about Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson’s role in green-lighting the whistleblower complaint made by Eric Ciaramella in August.

On Sept. 28, 2019, I promoted the work of Sean Davis on exposing how the whistleblower complaint form had been “revised” purposefully in order to allow Ciaramella to make a hearsay complaint about Trump’s phone call with the president of the Ukraine.

On Oct. 6, I posted about the news that Rep. Adam Schiff’s staff had met with the whistleblower and that Ciaramella had signed a false oath that he had not had any prior contact with Congress about his complaint. I wrote then that, “If the Republicans don’t bow to pressure from the lying, cheating Democrats, that should mean prosecution of the Deep State operative who is trying to hang Trump.”

In my next post a few days later, I reported that IG Atkinson had appeared before the House Intelligence Committee and had “refused to disclose why his office backdated secret changes to key whistleblower forms and rules in the wake of an anti-Trump whistleblower complaint filed in August.”

In other words, while attention has been focused on Ciaramella, the real gatekeeper of the plot against Trump has been Atkinson. Without his aid, Ciaramella would not have been able to proceed with his fake complaint. He would have been just one more loud-mouthed liberal member of the Resistance and would have faded into op-ed obscurity.

It is vital therefore to focus on Atkinson, and it looks like the Republicans have finally figured that out. Nunes told Sara Carter that the sealed transcript of Atkinson’s testimony before the Intelligence Committee contains evidence of a crime — not by Trump but by Atkinson. That’s because Atkinson was asked about the mysterious coincidence of the whistleblower form being conveniently revised to allow hearsay just in time for Ciaramella to make his complaint.

Of course, that’s why Schiff won’t release Atkinson’s testimony. Indeed, that is the only deposition that hasn’t been released from the pre-impeachment proceedings. Schiff is covering up for Atkinson, who is covering up for Ciaramella.

Nunes said that Atkinson “is under active investigation. I’m not gonna go any farther than that because you know obviously he has a chance to come in and prove his innocence, but my guess is Schiff, Atkinson they don’t want that transcript out because it’s very damaging.”

As explained by Carter, Nunes revealed “that transcripts of Atkinson’s secret testimony will expose that the Inspector General either lied or he needs to make corrections to his statements to lawmakers.”

Regarding Ciaramella, Nunes said:

“We really do need to hear from the whistleblower. That needs to happen and the fact that the Democrats won’t release the transcript of us interviewing the Inspector General Atkinson that brought this scam forward. Everyone needs to see that testimony and the reason that it’s not being released is because it’s very damaging, not only to the whistleblower, but also to Atkinson himself.”

At this point, the Republican minority in the House has no power to release the transcript or to compel additional testimony. Schiff and Speaker Pelosi will block any effort to get to the truth. For that reason, it is vital for Sen. Lindsey Graham to compel Atkinson to testify IN PUBLIC before the Senate Intelligence Committee about his role in facilitating the Ukrainian impeachment hoax. This should happen BEFORE any impeachment trial is held.

The truth, THE WHOLE TRUTH, and nothing but the truth.
