UPDATE: Rand Paul will challenge Roberts on Senate floor

We only have a little while to wait, but hopefully the report by Sen. Rand Paul’s spokesman Sergio Gor is correct.

Gor announced on Twitter that Paul “will insist on his question being asked during today’s trial.”

The question, which was rejected by Chief Justice Roberts yesterday, names the whistleblower as Eric Ciaramella and asks for more information about his motives.

Roberts rejected the question on the illegitimate grounds that the whistleblower has a right to privacy or confidentiality. That’s a lie.

Stay tuned!

UPDATE: Roberts “declines to read” Sen. Paul’s question on Thursday. McConnell surrenders!
