State of the Disunion: A picture is worth a thousand words

President Trump, under the shadow of impeachment, gave the best State of the Union address in history. He cataloged his successes and painted a bright picture of the future. He brought us to tears with the story of the Tuskegee Airman, whom he promoted to general at the age of 100, and with the sad story of the death of Kayla Mueller at the hands of ISIS, and with his spontaneous awarding of the Medal of Freedom to Rush Limbaugh, a cultural icon who is facing a struggle with lung cancer.

Meanwhile, the Democrats sat on their hands. They showed themselves to be interested in nothing but power. They are haters who don’t care about the great economy benefitting millions of Americans. They don’t care about school children striving for a better life. They don’t care about the safety of our cities and the danger presented by illegal immigrants.

Summing it all up, the moment that will live forever as the symbol of Democratic disdain — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ripping up the president’s speech — saying later that “It was the courteous thing to do, considering the alternative.” I cannot think of a more crass and craven action by a politician in the last 100 years, if ever, and Pelosi’s disdain for the 63 million people who elected President Trump shall live in infamy,

Former Speaker Newt Gingrich suggests she should be censured by the House, but that would require her Democrat colleagues to hold her in contempt when they themselves are equally contemptible. Not necessary. The hearts and minds of patriotic Americans have already censured her. It is the courteous thing to do, considering the alternative.

  1. The Wicked Witch of the West was on full display last night. Her speech ripping scene will live on in infamy. Poignant tribute to Rush
touched those of us who have treasured him since his Sacramento gig 30 years ago. With his star on the wane, we
will depend on you more than ever, Frank, to help take up the slack.

  2. The Demorats do not practice that which is best for America, but that which is worse for America. Only the most callous of Americans, largely Trump haters and those who hate our country, would condone her actions from start to finish at the SOTUS. She highlights the pettiness of the entire Party. Sad, Sad, as someone we know would say. RLS

  3. Nancy loves the attention, particularly since the younger more beautiful Alexandria Cortez’ is waaay more popular. Nancy, as leader of an extremely dishonest and vindictive party, was true to form by seeking attention by ripping up “Government” property, BEHIND President Trump’s back, not to his face, and encouraged her colleagues to do the cowardly back-stabbing ‘resistance’ sneaky and angry actions which ethical people would never do. She is a coward and a bully and SHE IS NOT ABOVE THE LAW. She should be fined for destroying government property, but she has seen that her hero, Hillary, wasn’t fined or punished for destroying 30,000 emails……and the Pelosi-Nadler people say “Trump is lawless.” “Trump doesn’t respect the Constitution.”. “Trump this and Trump that,” and the louder they yell, the more you can bet they, themselves are honest-to-God breaking the law. Not Trump. Do you know how glad I am that you are keeping us up-to-date on all this and that I can see that there are ethical and moral people still out there? (Peggy Noonan has had her day, by the way, and I respected her work and looked forward to seeing her on Face the Nation. But, she drank the Kool aid. “These are the boys of ‘Pointe de Hoc,’ “seems like a long time ago.
    She has become someone else.
