Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s death is divine intervention in 2020 election

The death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg less than two months before the presidential election changes everything. If you believe in God, there is no way to frame it as anything less than divine intervention.

It will totally alter the nature of the re-election battle of President Trump, and may finally force Slow Joe Biden to show his hand as a radical leftist. So far he has refused to issue his own list of acceptable nominees. Now he may have no choice.

Trump used the issue of Supreme Court appointments to emphasize the difference between himself and Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election, and it worked. Conservatives were motivated to vote for Trump out of fear of a far-left radical Democrat majority in the high court.

Trump famously released a list of more than 20 potential appointments to the court, and that act reassured Republicans that the New York businessman might be worthy of their vote. Trump eventually came through with appointments of Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.

Sadly, Trump has not played up the issue as much in 2020, although he did release an updated list of potential nominees. Of course, everyone knew Ginsburg was 87 and had suffered from cancer, so there was some interest in the court as an issue, but it was overshadowed by Covid-19, the lockdown and various Democrat distractions.

But now, the Supreme Court is once again front and center. And not only that, but it promises to become the overriding issue for two reasons.

One, the ability to appoint Ginsburg’s successor will determine the future of the court for at least four years, and potentially far beyond that. The court is evenly split between four reliably conservative justices and four hard-left justices, with Chief Justice John Roberts in the squishy middle, often voting with the Democrat-appointed justices even though he was appointed by Republican George W. Bush.

Two, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has said he will get a vote on a Supreme Court vacancy even if it occurs close to the election, possibly even after the election in the event of Trump being defeated by Biden and the Senate turning Democratic.

Assuming Trump moves to nominate a replacement for Ginsburg, and McConnell lives up to his promise, it will result in a virtual political civil war. The mainstream media will attack Trump, McConnell and every Republican senator who supports a quick vote (presumably not including Sen. Mitt “the Traitor” Romney). Every Senate race across the country will be impacted as well, and there will be vicious attacks on whoever Trump nominates. (It almost certainly will be a woman, very likely Amy Coney Barrett, 48, currently on the 7th District Court of Appeals.)

Bring it on. I have a feeling God is on Trump’s side this time. Maybe He is tired of a Supreme Court that thinks it is more important that the Supreme Being. Abortion is a giant obscenity that has ripped at the fabric of America, but God may be ready to end the era of legalized murder. Let’s hope so.

By the way, even if getting a conservative confirmed for the court ruins President Trump’s chances of being re-elected, it is almost certainly worth it in terms of the impact it will have for the next 20 or more years.

  1. Frank,

You are correct in every detail but I would like you to help readers understand that today’s Democratic leadership is not Mainstream Democrats. It is really not reasonable to associate John F. Kennedy with these people. He would have refused to put up with them. They are the wildest kind of activist. Show this by using the term, “Left-Wing Extremists” instead of “radicals.” It is said that a vote for Joe Biden is a vote for continued Antifa violence. That ain’t merely radical. That’s Extremism at its most killing.

Those same Extremists get strong traction by claiming that people like you and me are “Right-Wing Extremists” and “Far Right” activists. Such use summons up images that include bombings and assassinations. Those claims are wrong but extremely effective. They hurt innocent people immensely. It is time to correctly define the real criminals by their murderous deeds. They are Left-Wing Extremists! Lock your doors.

  2. That’s one way to look at it, but, perish the thought of him not being elected and the nation adrift in the hands of the Biden/Harris machine being run by that imagined, deep state cabal of shadowy, demonic forces therein. In a Supreme Court with 5 quasi conservatives, the wheels of justice grind slowly. Trump is like a charioteer currently grasping many reins firmly, but in grave danger at every turn. There’s no one out there with his mastery of the situation. May God’s will be done!
P.S. Folks in Minnesota last night roared their approval for “Sleepy Joe” rather than “Slow Joe”. LOL
