Start your day off right by reading Kurt Schlichter’s delicious bitch-slap of the Never Trump crowd cowering at National Rearview.
Here’s how it starts:
There’s a debate going on inside conservatism between the insufferable sissies who insist that we Normals are morally obligated to submit to being crushed by the leftists who hate us and want us enslaved or dead, and actual conservatives. Maybe I’m simplifying this intellectual dispute a bit – wait, no I’m not. You either want to defeat the liberal elite that despises us or you don’t. It’s those of us who seek to win versus the Never Trump losers, and there’s no middle ground.
From that point on, Schlichter — a former Army infantry colonel — takes no prisoners. He’s the Rat Patrol smashing across Nazi-infested Europe on his way to Berlin to rip the Führer’s head off and spit down his gullet. Not nice enough for you? Tough. You can hang out in Paris with the wine-sipping Vichy who are “saving France” by playing footsie with the Huns. We’ll come back for them later. In the meantime we’ve got a date with the Führer that just won’t wait.
Yeah, Schlichter’s got me fired up! And you’ll be fired up too when you read his essay at TownHall called “Ignore the Never Trump Losers Who Are OK With Liberals Winning.” No, he doesn’t call the Never Trumpers like David French the Vichy (that’s my contribution), but he does win the record for the most epithets deployed against the enemy in a time of war.
French is dismissed as “the poster-scold of the Surrender Caucus.” His tribe is called the French Fredocon Legion (Hat tip to Mario Puzo!) or the Priss Platoon.
My favorite is True Conservatives™. That trademark is sheer genius!
The entire column is a smorgasbord of fighting words that should be read every morning from now until the 2020 Election by Trump’s Troops. Here’s one of my favorite passages:
[Unlike the True Conservatives™] The rest of us aren’t satisfied with the garbage liberal elite grudgingly letting us control our own cake decorating options. We want to burn the whole garbage liberal elite down.
Not the Never Trumpers. They are no threat to the elite because, at their hollow core, they support the existing power structure. That’s why they are so blind to the manifest corruption of the institutions that they are a part of and are therefore invested in. That’s why these saps were so easily suckered by the RUSSIA TREASON COLLUSION!!!! scam. And that’s why Trump and those of us who support him terrify them – because, unlike the Conservative, Inc., cabal, we have nothing to lose if the whole teetering edifice of our crummy ruling class collapses under the sheer weight of its lies and incompetence.
Yeah, baby!
