Happy anniversary to Heartland Diary USA! This IS MAGA country!

A milestone passed quietly this week, but I wanted to take a moment now to thank my readers.

It’s been one year since I started the political blog at www.HeartlandDiaryUSA.com, and I can’t say it’s been boring! A few of you have been there from the start, and we’ve added a lot of new friends along the way.

When I retired after 34 years at the Daily Inter Lake in September 2018, I wasn’t sure what I would do, but I knew I had to stay committed to helping President Trump restore American greatness. I also knew it would be easier to do that away from the newspaper than if I were still managing editor.

So in late October 2018, I opened Heartland Diary USA and said hello to all of you.

Crazily, I have stayed faithful to the concept of a Diary and have posted at least one column every day to this site. That’s something like 368 days straight! Call me stubborn!

Please know that hearing your comments and getting your feedback is a large part of the motivation for me to keep going. The MAGA community is full of patriotic, hard-working, God-fearing Americans, and I am so proud of all of you.

So here’s the tally from a year. We have 145 subscribers who read my columns on this website, another 244 who follow me on Facebook @HeartlandDiaryUSA, 126 who follow me at Parler @HeartlandDiary, and 6,216 who follow me on Twitter @HeartlandDiary. I also share my posts directly on some great Facebook groups like Trump Train-MAGA Fan Club and the Ravalli County Constitutional Republicans.

I’ve also started up a YouTube page where I post “News Every Conservative Can Use.” (Click here to subscribe. I need 1,000 subscribers to be able to get YouTube to pay me.)

If you enjoy reading these daily essays, I hope you will consider purchasing one of my books. They are available at Amazon in paperback or Kindle editions. My new book — “The Media Matrix: What if everything you know is fake?” — shows that Fake News has been around for years. The “Why We Needed Trump” trilogy tackles the politics of the last two decades: Part 1 is subtitled “Bush’s Global Failure: Half Right.” Part 2 is “Obama’s Fundamental Transformation: Far Left.” Part 3 is “Trump’s American Vision: Just Right.”

The goal of all this work is the same — to promote conservative ideas, support our great president and to defeat socialism.

Looking forward to the year ahead! Thanks for your support. Please share this message and our website with your like-minded friends!

  • Congratulations Frank! Thank you for all you do!! You help us ALL through the liberal INSANITY! Love ya!

  • Congratulations on your first year. I have been reading your columns for quite some time. I first discovered you at Lucianne.com. After that I googled you at the Daily Inter Lake on a regular basis. Keep up the good work!

    • Thanks! They shut down my account at lucianne.com after I razzed Never Trumper Jonah Goldberg, so I don’t go back there much anymore. Argh!

  • You've done so much so quickly! Well done good and faithful patriot! Bill and I
wouldn't miss any of your blogs & love finding new recruits for you. You''re doing
great! Make a wish and blow! Full Steam Ahead!

  • Congrats on the anniversary Frank!!!! I absolutely LOVE your commentary, perspective and solid connections in today’s events! Having 4 kids and running a small business- I don’t always get a chance to read every one of your pieces, but please do keep up the good work. We DESPERATELY need your voice in public discourse now, and in the future. You are doing patriotic work!!!

  • Frank,
We're truly glad you didn't really retire, "retire." Although the DIL, and especially its editorial page, have suffered significantly since you departed, your continued engagement on behalf of President Trump and our Nation have reached a wider audience and I suspect brought enlightenment to, and encouraged, more citizens than you did at the DIL. We appreciate all you're doing for us and our Nation.

    • Thanks Scott. That means a lot to me. I hope I’m making a difference in some way. My column Monday at Real Clear Politics should make a few waves. Best to you.

  • It was a great day the day I "discovered" Mr. Miele's column. I am a 'late to the party' Real Clear Politics reader, so discovering Mr.Miele and his common sense approach to politics is a blessing to people like me who had lost hope from January 2009 to November 8, 2016. Mr. Miele's Heartland Diary is something I can count on. Thanks so much. Joe Morrisco, Bedminster, NJ 07921

  • Hi Frank, and Happy Birthday to the first year Heartland Diary with many more to come:

I have been reading your columns for some years now, and columns are always researched, clearly written, to the point, raise the level of thinking for all readers, and honest. Your books are the nation's political history during the years before you retired, and your present readers should look into reading them.

You are still the most trustworthy of all editors to bring us the truth as we search for a way out of the morass the Democrats have created with both their policies and the hatred of Trump. You are the adult writer in the room. Congratulations as I know you put a lot of effort into your Diaries to bring us the best. Thanks for all.

    Cheers, RLS

    • Thanks Rick! As you know you inspired me to collect my columns in book form. You have been a huge help to me, and I will always be grateful.
