Barr asks Democrat inquisitors who want courthouses to burn: “Is that OK now?”

Attorney General William Barr appeared today before the House Judiciary Committee to answer questions about riots in American cities. After several Democrats chided Barr for sending in federal police to protect our courthouses from the radical left mob, he finally got a chance to respond when Rep. Steve Chabot, R-Ohio, asked him about the “peaceful protesters” who have attacked Portland’s federal courthouse for two straight months.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen Barr get angry before this, but you could tell he was fired up when he asked his Democrat inquisitors how they would feel if the federal courthouse near the U.S. Capitol were attacked and lit ablaze by rioters.

“Federal courts are under attack. Since when is it OK to try to burn down a federal court? If someone went down the street to the Prettyman Court here, that beautiful courthouse we have right at the bottom of the hill, and started breaking windows and firing industrial grade fireworks to start a fire, throw kerosene balloons in, and start fires in the court, is that OK?” Barr asked, his voice rising.

“Is that OK now?” Barr repeated, but we already know the Democrat answer. Based on their own rude questioning of Barr, the Democrat members of Congress clearly think it is just fine as long as they get their revolution done.

Disgusting.
