Frank Miele is the longtime editor (2000-2018) of the Daily Inter Lake in Kalispell, Montana.
His realistic perspective on world and national politics is markedly different from that of many others in the world of journalism, thanks in part to his ability to absorb the lessons of the heartland.
In other words, he listened to his readers, mostly from Montana, and didn’t act like he was smarter than them. From 2004 to 2018, he wrote a weekly column called “Editor’s 2 Cents.” The name was chosen because he knew he was just one more guy with an opinion, but eventually many Americans said that he was speaking for them, telling their story.
Today, Frank is retired from daily journalism, but he has decided to keep alive his column. Heartland Diary USA will be published at RealClearPolitics.com as well as on this blog.
In addition, Frank Has COLLECTED MANY of his columns from his years at the Inter Lake. Remember, HeartlandDiaryUSA is reader supported.
