Wait a minute! Didn’t Robert Mueller just say in his opening statement that there was no evidence that anyone in the Trump campaign could be charged with working with the Russians to subvert our election?
“… the investigation did not establish that members of the Trump campaign conspired with the Russian government in its election interference activities.”
Game over.
The president should be able to use that statement in his re-election campaign commercials. Hallelujah!
Of course, Mueller also cited rules for prosecutors that prohibit him from talking about many matters because they may be under investigation. He said he can’t talk about the origin of the FBI investigation into the Trump campaign or about the Steele dossier because those matters are currently under investigation.
Unfortunately, that will shut down significant questioning by Republicans, but at least he confirmed that there is a possibility that the illegal activity by the FBI and Fusion GPS may still come to light.
That all came out in the opening statement. Five more hours to go!
My new book is “The Media Matrix: What If Everything You Know Is Fake,” which offers many examples of the press being the enemy of the truth. To support my work, please consider buying “The Media Matrix” or my “Why We Needed Trump” trilogy, which documents the downward spiral of the USA before Trump arrived on the scene.
