UPDATE: not sure how it happened, but with 99 percent of vote counted, Republican Dan Bishop has apparently pulled out a victory against Democrat Dan McCready.
My earlier reading on the vote count made it look impossible, so I’m gonna call it a minor miracle! Either that or the stats I read at the New York Tines website were inaccurate!
That’s because with about 59 percent of the vote in, Bishop had a narrow lead (less than 1 percent) over McCready, but the outstanding vote was mostly in Democrat strongholds.
With 99 percent of the vote counted, however, Bishop had a comfortable lead. Not sure how it happened, but all’s well that ends well!
