Well, that didn’t take long!
It was just 24 hours ago that Speaker Nancy Pelosi “opened” an impeachment inquiry against President Trump that was prompted by Fake News Media reporting that a secondhand whistleblower had evidence of Trump pressuring the Ukrainian president to investigate Joe Biden for political purposes.
I had to put “opened” in quotes because technically Pelosi did nothing more than say she was opening an inquiry. That has no legal effect, and left us in exactly the same position as the day before when Reps. Nadler and Schiff were running their witch hunt against Trump. An actual impeachment inquiry can only be started with a vote of the full House.
So what changed in 24 hours? When Pelosi announced the “impeachment inquiry,” they had not seen the transcript of Trump’s call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, but here is what they promised us:
- Trump mentioned Biden eight times in the conversation.
- Trump tied foreign aid to Ukraine directly to Ukraine investigating Joe and Hunter Biden for corruption.
- Trump promised something in the conversation with Zelensky that was so upsetting that it led to the whistleblower to file his or her complaint.

Let’s get one thing straight. The Democrats are doing exactly what they accuse Trump of — namely committing a campaign finance violation. Dems claim that Trump violated the rules because he asked Ukraine to find out whether anything illegal had happened involving Joe and Hunter Biden. But now the Dems want to investigate Trump, which will give a huge boost to the eventual Democratic nominee. Why is it OK for Congress to investigate impropriety by a politician but it is not OK for the president and the executive branch?
“Let me tell you: You take on the intelligence community — they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.”
We should also remember what happened to President Kennedy when he threatened to “splinter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it into the wind.” President Trump had better watch his back because these bastards will stop at nothing.
