My new hero: Sen. Martha McSally tells CNN reporter he’s ‘a liberal hack’

Oh dear! Every cloud has a silver lining — even the dark cloud of impeachment.

I was so happy to stumble across this video of Sen. Martha McSally, R-Arizona, refusing to answer a question from Fake News CNN reporter Manu Raju about whether she would consider new evidence in the Senate trial of President Trump.

Unlike the usual Republican chump, McSally didn’t take the bait. Instead, the senator just kept walking and said, “Manu, you’re a liberal hack; I’m not talking to you.”

When Raju asked, “You’re not going to comment, senator?” she repeated, “You’re a liberal hack.”

OMG, how delightful! The Republican Party is lucky to have some great new women stars in the House and Senate, and they need to play them up. Elise Stefanik and Debbie Lesko in the House and Marsha Blackburn in the Senate have been great at challenging liberal a Fake News orthodoxy.

Now, McSally has outdone them all. With 10 words, she has created the template for what every Republican should say to any request for an interview on CNN. Just change the name, and then add: “you’re a liberal hack; I’m not talking to you.”

Honorary fist bump for Sen. McSally!

  1. Martha McSally was absolutely right when confronted by a CNN reporter. Ramu’s job is to help destroy President Trump and his associates. Senator McSally was honest and showed her immediate reflex was to tell the CNN reporter he wasn’t going to get an answer from her. It is fair to think that Ramu would look good to Jeff Zucker at McSally’s expense. I’m not sure if Laura Ingraham was playing devil’s advocate when she had McSally on her show the other night, but I found her unlikeably aggressive bordering on nasty about asking McSally how she planned to vote. Even good journalists like Ingraham want a scoop at the expense of their guest. Like Leland Vitter and his father-mentor Chris Wallace. They pick and choose when they want to get tough, and that’s not good journalism. If that’s the style they want to project, they should be the same with every guest. Actually, I’m not crazy about their style and don’t watch them.
