Trump wishes ‘well’ for Maxwell and wishes ‘the best’ for Ginsburg. BFD! But Fake News heads explode!

You know that the Main Sleaze Media is going to have a field day with President Trump’s response to the imprisonment of Ghislaine Maxwell, the alleged “Pimp to the Rich and Famous.”

Asked by a reporter whether he thought that Maxwell, the longtime associate of notorious sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, would “turn in powerful people [perhaps including Prince Andrew], Trump opted not to answer directly.

“I don’t know. I haven’t really been following it too much. I just wish her well, frankly. I’ve met her numerous times over the years, especially since I lived in Palm Beach and, I guess, they lived in Palm Beach,” Trump said, referencing Epstein as well. “But I wish her well, whatever it is. I don’t know the situation with Prince Andrew. I just don’t know. I’m not aware of it.”

It was curious indeed. Of course, Epstein died last year while in federal custody, and now people think Maxwell might meet the same fate as she awaits trial on charges of enlisting minors as prostitutes. Trump has previously talked about Prince Andrew as having knowledge of the “cesspool” that was Orgy Island, so his silence here could mean that he has learned something about the prosecution case and doesn’t want to tip their hand.

That’s of course speculation, but let’s put this in perspective. It was just two weeks ago when Trump was asked about the health of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg when she was diagnosed with a recurrence of liver cancer.

“I wish her the absolute best,” Trump said at a press conference.

Well, what else could he say about her? It would not be politically correct (nor morally) to say he hoped she would die because she is a danger to the country with her radical far-left agenda. Nor could he say he hoped he could appoint her replacement before the November election, even though everyone knows it.

In other words, you can’t just take his words at face value. Nor can you take his comments about Maxwell at face value either.

For all we know, Trump’s comment that he wishes Maxwell well could be a veiled reference to Epstein’s suspicious death in prison. The only chance we have to find out the truth about the Epstein sex-trafficking ring is for Maxwell to survive long enough to testify publicly. We should all be wishing her well in that sense. Her death will protect hundreds of men (and women?) who themselves deserve to see the inside of a prison.

Or maybe a Trump just hopes she is not guilty of such a heinous crime. It is certainly curious that the president did not distance himself from Maxwell, but instead confirmed that he had met her “multiple times.” That candor suggests that the president is not trying to hide anything, and certainly if he had something to hide he would have answered the question in quite a different way.

But the Main Sleaze Media will certainly use the press conference to hurt Trump. CNN wrote a headline that reduced the comment to “Trump wishes former Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell ‘well’ as she faces charges of enticement of minors.”

Politico went even further, finding an alleged (but conveniently anonymous) federal prosecutor to speculate on nefarious motives for the comment. Noting that Trump had not commented on the completely unrelated murder of a federal judge’s son last weekend, the Never Trump hack said:

“The president has nothing to say about a gun-toting madman who just murdered the son of a federal judge. But he takes time out of his press conference to send well wishes to a woman accused of trafficking teenager girls for sex.”

Then reaching a truly outrageous conclusion, Politico reporter Matthew Choi bent over backwards to smear the President with a final comment by the alleged prosecutor.

“Referring to Trump’s granting clemency to his former adviser Roger Stone, the prosecutor said: ‘That’s gross on its face, and in the aftermath of the Stone pardon, it reeks of the president indicating to her that he might reward her if she’ll stay silent about whatever she knows about him.'”

Really? Pardon me, but that reeks of Fake News!
