President Trump spoke to the press on the tarmac at Andrews Air Base on his way to Kenosha, Wisconsin, to meet with law enforcement today about the rioting and violence in that city.
In a comment against Portland’s mayor Ted Wheeler, it sounded like Trump was taking a shot at Kenosha mayor John Antaramian or any Democrat mayor for allowing the riots to occur: “Very stupid mayor. I don’t see how he can be mayor. … He still sticks up for them. Only a fool would stick up for them.”
Trump also got in two well placed shots at the media, blaming the Fake News for promoting the violence: “The press, the media, is fueling this, even more so than Biden.” Trump pointed out that the mainstream media is ignoring the execution of a Trump supporter in Portland.
“I saw the way they shot the young gentleman in the street. He was targeted. They targeted him. They shot him in the street and then they were so happy that he died. You don’t mention that. You mention somebody spray painted somebody from the other side. They shot a man in the street, they executed a man in the street. A religious man in the street, and you don’t mention it. It’s not even a story. The press should be ashamed of themselves. I think the media is fueling this … and you’re doing a great disservice to your country.”
Another interesting comment by the president is that he is interested in finding out more about evidence that the radical anarchists are organized and traveling around the country in groups on commercial flights. We need the Department of Justice to step up and do a real investigation. Follow the money!
