Camille Paglia: A rare light from the left!

Not sure how many of my own readers have ever crossed paths with Camille Paglia, but for me she is the only redeeming feature of modern liberalism. Yes, she is an atheist, and yes she voted for Bernie Sanders, but oh dear, there is no one who can penetrate through the fog of blathering self-important left-wing posturing quite like Paglia.

If you have never read Paglia before, this interview in Spectator USA makes a great starting point. She blasts the field of expected Democratic presidential candidates (“Kirsten Gillibrand is a wobbly mediocrity. Cory Booker has all the gravitas of a cork. Andrew Cuomo is a yapping puppy with a long, muddy bullyboy tail.”), confirms the likelihood of Trump being re-elected, throws in a hit against “bottom-feeding celebrities [and] jackass journalists,” and throws in a cogent analysis of the danger of the Deep State.

If there is any one place she goes astray, it is in taking seriously the presidential aspirations of Montana governor Steve Bullock. If she is right about him being a serious prospect for the presidency, we are in even worse shape than I suspected!

  1. Interesitng article. How anyone can take Bullock seriously is beyond me. He is truly a legend in his own mind.

    1. Unfortunately, there is the sad fact that Montana elected him governor twice, so what does that say about us? ?
