Sorry. I still can’t bring myself to read in-depth the two main volumes of the Mueller Report — the first on the Russia collusion hoax and the second on the obstruction of justice canard.
Why would I want to immerse myself in the disgusting lies of the anti-Trump coup plotters?
However, I have read with interest the 24 pages of Appendix C (pages 415-439), which include the president’s 18-page response under oath to the special counsel’s questions.
I have two main reactions:
First of all, is that really all that Mueller had? When you read the questions put together by Mueller and his team of angry Democrats, you really get a picture of what it means to be clutching at straws. Do they really think that candidate Trump joking about Russia turning over Hillary’s 30,000 deleted emails is worthy of investigation?!? Unbelievably stupid! Do they really think that Paul Manafort or Michael Cohen or anyone else shared their illegal plans with the president?!? Let it go, you morons!
The second point, even more obvious than the first, is that we owe a huge debt of gratitude to Rudy Giuliani and Jay Sekulow, the president’s attorneys, for insisting that the president would not suffer the humiliation of a sit-down interview with the angry Democrats. The 18 pages of the president’s responses are so cut and dried that they will be textbook examples of good lawyering in future generations.
My favorite example is the response to Question IV, Part G:
“On July 27, 2016, in response to a question about whether you would recognize Crimea as Russian territory and lift sanctions in Russia, you said: “We’ll be looking at that. Yeah, we’ll be looking.” Did you I tend to communicate by that statement or at any other time during the campaign a willingness to lift sanctions and/or recognize Russia’s annexation of Crimea if you were elected?”
Really, Bob Mueller!?? Is that the best you got? I can imagine Giuliani having a real laugh with President Trump when they read that bumbling Inspector Clouseau level of interrogation!
The answer from President Trump, stated with aplomb and dignity that did not acknowledge the idiocy of the question: “My statement did not communicate any position.”
He could have added “Doh! are you angry Democrats really that stupid!?!”
If the Democrats has been forced to respond in kind, their truthful answer would have to be a blank-faced “Obviously!”
