‘Trump goes on strike’ — and that’s a good thing

There are only four words in E.J.Dionne’s new column I agree with — the headline: “Trump goes on strike.”

I certainly don’t agree with Dionne that the president is “guided solely by an obsession with self-protection.” Calling out the Democrats for their political attacks on him was the only recourse he had after Speaker Pelosi accused him of a “cover-up.”

Let’s face it: The entire MAGA movement was intended as the equivalent of a strike all along. We the forgotten people were telling the elites of Washington DC (and generally the two coasts) that we were mad as hell and we weren’t going to take it any longer.

No, it wasn’t quite like the strike in “Atlas Shrugged” where the producers of value in society withdrew their participation from the economy. That was fiction. But the MAGA strike was about “we the people” withdrawing our blessing from politics as usual. That’s what Trump has been doing ever since he got to Washington, and just like Jimmy Stewart in “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington,” Trump has turned over a hornet’s nest.

Now the Democrats and their allies in the media (and in the RINO Party) have their knives. President Trump is under assault because he is fulfilling his promises. I wrote a series of books under the title “Why We Needed Trump,” but now President Trump needs you. Make sure you let your friends and family know you support the president in his strike against the destructive Democrats. We need him more than ever because if the left prevails against Trump, we will never get back our country again.

If you enjoy reading these daily essays, I hope you will consider purchasing one of the books of the “Why We Needed Trump” trilogy. Part 1 is subtitled “Bush’s Global Failure: Half Right.” Part 2 is “Obama’s Fundamental Transformation: Far Left.” Part 3 is “Trump’s American Vision: Just Right.” My new book is “The Media Matrix: What if everything you know is fake?” They are available at Amazon in paperback or Kindle editions.
