Tulsi Gabbard awarded honorary ‘Deplorable’ medal by Hillary Clinton

Democrats have been dismissive and patronizing of Republicans for years. No surprise there.

In 2008, it was candidate Barack Obama lamenting that working-class voters “get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

In 2016, it was Hillary Clinton saying she put “half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right? They’re racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic – Islamophobic – you name it.”

What you see in that language is the philosophy of elitism that fuels the Democratic Party. According to Obama and Clinton, the people need to be protected from their own crude instincts, but fortunately there are “selfless patriots” like, well, Obama and Clinton, who are willing to take the reins — and the whip — in order to drive the wagon of democracy past the dangerous potholes of self-interest, tradition and independence.

We are watching the result of that corrosive elitism in the persecution and impeachment of Donald Trump, but it won’t end there. Once you empower a narrow class of people to pick winners and losers, it is inevitable that they will eventually turn on each other.

The Democrats — and their compliant Vichy Republican partners — have now reached that point.

As most of you know by now, Hillary Clinton has embraced her role as diviner of all things Russian and has declared Democratic presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard to be a “Russian asset.” This makes Tulsi the honorary winner of the 2020 Deplorable of the Year Award.

Clinton was a guest on David Plouffe’s podcast when she called out Gabbard as part of a Russian plot to re-elect Trump by splitting the vote:

“I’m not making any predictions, but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate. She’s the favorite of the Russians. They have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far.”

Clinton didn’t name Gabbard, but there was no doubt about whom she was talking. Plouffe ended the podcast by referring to Clinton’s “belief that Tulsi Gabbard is going to be a third-party candidate propped up by Trump and the Russians — ” and Clinton did not try to correct him.

Oh my God!

It was probably inevitable that the Democrats would start to eat their own. The struggle for power brings out the worst in people, and the Democrats love power more than anything.

Gabbard represents a dire threat to that power because she opposes “forever wars” that are hinged on the fool’s mission of regime change. Like Trump, she want the US out of Syria, and thus would topple the entire military-industrial complex’s hold on our nation’s foreign policy.

Of course, Gabbard — being a major in the Army National Guard and a combat vet — did not let the incoming barrage from Clinton go unanswered. She launched her own retaliatory artillery via Twitter and called out Clinton in a way that should permanently cripple her legacy as an elder stateswoman.

Thank you @HillaryClinton. You, the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long, have finally come out from behind the curtain.

From the day I announced my candidacy, there has been a concerted campaign to destroy my reputation. We wondered who was behind it and why. Now we know — it was always you, through your proxies and powerful allies in the corporate media and war machine, afraid of the threat I pose.

It’s now clear that this primary is between you and me. Don’t cowardly hide behind your proxies. Join the race directly.

Clinton has been coyly suggesting for some time that she might get into the 2020 race. Gabbard is not the only one who would welcome that “Sunset Boulevard” comeback moment. Donald Trump and his army of Deplorables would like nothing more than a chance to beat Hillary Clinton like a drum, but alas it probably won’t happen. She’s probably been out on new medication and won’t be allowed to have a similar outburst in the future.

In the meantime, Gabbard has an opportunity to shine a light on the corruption in the Democratic Party. The ball is in her court. Let’s see what she does with it.

  1. Tulsi Gabbard always seemed likeable to me, but I only agreed with a few things she said in the past. Knowing Hillary hates her and smeared her almost with the same lies as she smeared President Trump, is interesting. Hillary sees Russians under her bed, but accusing Tulsi, Jill Stein, Donald Trump ALL of Russian collusion, means the meds have worn off. Her delusions and paranoia are visible to the world. I would only ask Tulsi to look at what has been done to smear Trump and how similar it is to the smears against her, and see if there is any empathy from Gabbard to the plight of Trump. What she said could have been said by any of the Trump team who have found themselves the target of Hillary and the smears of the Democrats, “From the day I announced my candidacy, there has been a concerted campaign to destroy my reputation. We wondered who was behind it and why. Now we know — it was always you, through your proxies and powerful allies in the corporate media and war machine, afraid of the threat I pose.”. Spoken by Tulsi Gabbard about Hillary and her political machine. These words could also describe the plight Trump has found himself in. Does anyone else see the parallel?
