Perhaps mankind is just progressing too fast for some people. Change can be kind of scary, and with all the improvements in our lives brought about by science, technology and the Trump administration, it appears the Democrats are “acting out” in a desperate cry for help!
What other explanation can there be for the irrational, juvenile, angry, spiteful behavior of Democrats recently. And I’m not just talking about the Deep State Impeachment Hoax! Oh no! The drift away from reality is even more pronounced in the day-to-day reports about our culture, our heroes and our politics.
To quote Dragnet’s unflappable Jack Webb, “It was a day like any other day,” which means that there were plenty of examples of left-wing lunacy in the news. Here are a few standouts:
1) The formerly funny Bette Midler took to Twitter to lament the fact that we are not in a full-fledged war with Turkey. She particularly took exception to Sen. Rand Paul calling the Kurds “ingrates” because they don’t acknowledge the many lives saved by the presence of the US military in Syria and Iraq. Midler blasted Paul and praised the attack on Paul last year that broke multiple ribs, damaged his lungs and left him permanently impaired.
“I DO NOT promote violence but… Rand Paul says the Kurds are being ‘ingrates’ for taking their frustrations out on US troops. Which is a good reminder for us all to be more grateful for the neighbor who beat the shit out of Rand Paul,” Midler said.
OK, well at least she doesn’t promote violence!
2) Former Obama National Security Adviser Susan Rice may also have been triggered by Syria. Sen. Lindsey Graham has been in the news lately due to his opinion on the withdrawal of some US forces to keep them out of harm’s way.
Rice was appearing on a podcast when a fellow guest called Graham “a piece of shit” because he had sought accountability for the Benghazi Massacre.
That triggered Rice, who girlishly repeated the vulgarism.
“He’s been a piece of s–t,” she said with a laugh. “I said it. I said it, damn it, finally. He’s a piece of s–t.”
Rice, of course, as the US ambassador to the UN, went on five Sunday morning talk shows after the massacre to make excuses for why a US ambassador and other Americans were left in harm’s way in Libya. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans died in the attack, and Rice lied about the cause of the attack to try to cover up for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s incompetence.
Back then she blamed a YouTube video for the massacre, so it’s no surprise that now she is blaming Lindsey Graham for the collapse of her reputation. But the fact of the matter is she accomplished that all on her own.
3) Actor John Lithgow, who got rich by entertaining the masses with his idiotic sitcom “Third Rock From the Sun,” has now decided to make known his total disdain for the working class Americans who support President Trump.
He has written a book of doggerel (I can’t call it poetry) with the title “Dumpty: The Age of Trump in Verse.” It is filled with insults for the president and those around him such as this brilliant couplet:
“Trumpty Dumpty wanted a tower / To showcase his personal glory and power.”
Hold the Nobel Prize for Literature: we have a winner! And honestly, it doesn’t boggle the mind to think that this leftist drivel could win the Nobel Prize or a Pulitzer at least!
It is bad enough that Lithgow attacks the president with his low-brow insults, but in the introduction he let us know exactly what he think about us Deplorables:
“Though I myself cannot fathom it, I acknowledge your sincere devotion to Dumpty. In your eyes, Dumpty’s bullying is courage, his bigotry is patriotism, his vulgarity is authenticity, his cruelty is unbridled fun.”
Turn that around and you would about have it right. In the eyes of a radical hate-filled leftist, Trump’s courage is bullying, his patriotism is bigotry, his authenticity is vulgarity, and his unbridled fun is cruelty.
Sad.
4) Home-goods retailer Bed Bath & Beyond has pulled a line of decorations from its stores, not because they present a safety hazard, but because they present a political hazard.
Turns out that there is a color code for decorative pumpkins, and one color that shall never be seen again is black. You see, the spooky black jack o’lanterns formerly sold by BB&B had their features outlined in white. That seems logical of course, but logic be damned in a politically correct world.
Turns out the pumpkins were wearing blackface, according to the “woke” guardians of culture, and that meant they were unacceptable. No word on why blackface IS acceptable for the prime minister of Canada and the governor of Virginia!
I could go on all day with such examples of how radical leftists are becoming more and more unhinged with every day Trump remains as president. It’s a cry for help, but these desperate Democrats should know there is help. They should check out www.WalkawayCampaign.com and find out how Brandon Straka and thousands of other Democrats have entered recovery. It all begins with the first step:
“We admitted we were powerless over Trump Derangement Syndrome — that our lives had become unmanageable.”
Or as Jack Webb might say, “There is a solution, ma’am. Step away from the ledge and let’s get you some help.
WHO WE ARE
Frank Miele has spent four decades in the news business and now offers conservative commentary to counter the left-wing bias in the national media. If you enjoy reading these daily essays, I hope you will consider purchasing one of my books. They are available at Amazon in paperback or Kindle editions. My new book — “The Media Matrix: What if everything you know is fake?” — shows that Fake News has been around for years. The “Why We Needed Trump” trilogy tackles the politics of the last two decades: Part 1 is subtitled “Bush’s Global Failure: Half Right.” Part 2 is “Obama’s Fundamental Transformation: Far Left.” Part 3 is “Trump’s American Vision: Just Right.” Also consider subscribing to Heartland Diary on YouTube by clicking here for News Every Conservative Can Use.
When John Lithgow was on Broadway recently, I positively avoided the show. Same with Jeff Daniels (the old Gregory Peck show TKaM), same with Bette Middler and Madonna. I saw Paul McCartney at Madison square garden a few years back before he became the darling of the liberals, and it was $500 bucks a ticket for this poor deplorable, but no more. I wouldn’t go near Bruce Springsteen. And I’m from Jersey. They have such disgust for me and for my President, and that’s ok. But there are 63 million of us. Their idea of hate speech and my idea of hate speech, is not the same. And, as I noted: there are 63 million of us.

Yes Joe, We conservatives really have limited options for supporting the arts unless we are going to support those who hate us! Lithgow is a Montana neighbor hereabouts. I wish he would learn from the heartland!
