At today’s hearing of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Sen. Ted Cruz is bringing attention to the far-left violence and anarchy in Portland.
The hearing witnesses are explaining how Antifa and other far-left radicals are denying the civil rights of their fellow Americans by blocking access to the federal courthouse in a Portland, and more broadly by illegally blocking access to public streets throughout America.
Democrats, of course, continue to put their heads in the sand. Worse they mislead Americans into believing that police are the problem rather than the lawless mobs.
A perfect example occurred at the beginning of the hearing when Sen. Mazie Hirono told Cruz there was nothing but peaceful protesters in Portland and said no one would defend or condone violence.
Cruz immediately pounced on her, pointing out that she had failed to condemn the violence in her own remarks or offer any support to the police who had been attacked by the “peaceful protesters” but instead made excuses for murderers and rioters.
Thanks, Sen. Cruz!
