Biden’s bizarre ‘court packing’ comment explained (“Polly wanna cracker?”)

Even mainstream liberal reporters are scratching their heads over Joe Biden’s bizarre response to questions about whether he would support packing the Supreme Court if he were elected.

Here’s Biden’s comment from Monday: “They’ll know my opinion on court-packing when the election is over. Now, look, I know it’s a great question, and y’all — and I don’t blame you for asking it. But you know the moment I answer that question, the headline in every one of your papers will be about that rather than focusing on what’s happening now.”

Biden gave a similar answer last week when he debated President Trump in Cleveland.

“Whatever position I take on that, that’ll become the issue,” Biden said. “The issue is the American people should speak. You’re voting now. Vote, and let your senators know how you feel.”

People have noted that it is odd that Biden won’t answer the question on the grounds that his answer would be newsworthy and therefore of interest to the American people before they vote. But no one seems to have figured out why Biden is wording his response that way.

It’s simple. Joe is just reading the “stage directions” again. You remember a couple of instances where Biden has been caught reading off a teleprompter and he reads the cues as part of his “response.” In one case he included the words “top line message,” and in another he read “end of quote” and then got confused when he realized it was not part of the quote!

Same thing happened here except it’s not a teleprompter miscue. It’s a parrot repeating back what has been drilled into his head repeatedly.

Joe: “What about this court packing? Trump keeps hammering me on it. What’s my opinion on that?”

Joe’s Handlers: “Joe, you don’t answer that question.”

Joe: “But I want to answer. I know all about that stuff. I was the dadgum chairman of the Judiciary Committee and …”

Joe’s Handlers: “Joe, you can’t answer the question.”

Joe: “Why not? If it was OK for Roosevelt, it’s OK for me.”

Joe’s Handlers: “Joe, you can’t answer. Whatever you say, that’ll become the issue.”

Joe: “But it should be an issue.”

Joe’s Handlers: “Joe, the moment you answer that question, the headline in every newspaper will be about that rather than on Trump. Whatever position you take, that will become the issue.”

Joe: “OK. Got it. I’m not going to answer. Whatever position I take, that will become the issue.”

Joe’s Handlers: “Good boy, Joe. Keep saying that to yourself. Polly want a cracker?”

Joe: “I’m not going to answer. Whatever position I take, that will become the issue.”

Once you realize that Biden is just parroting the explanation that was given to him, it makes perfect sense. Of course, it also demonstrates the onset of senile dementia, but hey that’s another thing Biden can’t talk about because, you know, it would become an issue.

Hard to believe the American people might elect this buffoon.
