Democratic operative George Stephanopoulos spoke for the entire mainstream media Sunday when he said, “after four years of division and tumult, assaults on truth and treasured institutions, voters turned out in record numbers to turn the page.”
In other words, if you hate Trump, all is well in Hateville. If you love Trump, you are a despicable worthless piece of shit who shall not be named.
Congratulations, America. This is what you have wrought by tolerating the oligarchy of Big Tech, Big Bureaucracy and Big Media against We the People.
Stephanopoulos tried to paint Trump into a corner by claiming that the election was legitimate and dismissing all the evidence of fraud that has accumulated in just 5 days.
“As we come on the air this morning, President Trump is raging against the results with false statements on Twitter, his team vowing to overturn them with legal challenges that have little prospect of success.”
In other words, “If we in Big Media have coronated the king, you had better shut up. We will crush you!”
Fake News reporter Jonathan Karl tried to paint Trump as a madman who is out of touch with reality. “He is pursuing lawsuits that he hopes would overturn the result without any legal basis,” Karl said.
But wait! Doesn’t the court decide if there is a legal basis for the lawsuits? When did we change the Constitution and make Jonathan Karl the fourth branch of government?
“This Week” followed the Fake News playbook by stacking the show against Republicans. Following the opening minutes of Stephanopoulos celebrating Biden’s “win” there was 20 minutes of the liberal round table celebrating Biden’s “win,” and then 5 minutes of smug Sen. Chris Coons celebrating Biden’s “win” before you finally heard from a Republican who recognized the quote marks around the word win.
“You know, the media doesn’t get to decide who the winner is,” said Sen. Roy Blount. “The media can project but the media doesn’t get to decide who the winner is. There is a canvassing process that needs to happen.”
The most important thing Blount said was that “Almost nothing the press projected in this election turned out to be right,” so why should we trust the press when they declare Biden the winner in the middle of a huge controversy?
Of course, Sen. Blount doesn’t speak for the president’s campaign, and he was too conciliatory over all because he doesn’t want to alienate his own voters. What was totally missing from the ABC Sunday morning talk show lineup was a Rudy Giuliani or Corey Lewandowski actually talking about the evidence of vote fraud in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Nevada. Apparently if you don’t talk about it, it doesn’t exist.
This is news suppression, not news reporting. It is the equivalent of Fox News pre-empting Judge Jeanine Pirro’s show because they heard she was actually planning to talk about that evidence of fraud.
It should be noted that ABC’s wall of silence was briefly penetrated in the final minutes of the show by S.D. Gov. Kristi Noem, who was supposed to talk about COVID, but first took a minute to give Stephanopoulos a civics lesson about how elections work:
“This is all premature. This is a premature conversation because we have not finished counting votes. There are states that have not been called, and back in 2000 Al Gore was given his day in court. We should give President Trump his day in court. Let the process unfold because, George, we live in a republic. We are a government that gets its power from the consent of the governed. That is the people. They give their consent on Election Day. Election Day needs to be fair, honest and transparent, and we need to be sure that we have an honest election before we decide who gets to the White House.”
Talk about a gut shot. Stephanopoulos was absolutely fit to be tied. He said he had been assured by Republican Secretaries of State that there was “no evidence” of widespread fraud, but Noem pounced on him: “That is not true. That is absolutely not true. People have signed legal documents, affidavits stating that they saw illegal activities.”
After some additional back and forth, with Stephanopoulos both asking for and simultaneously denying evidence of vote fraud, Noem ended with this bold declarative statement that speaks for millions:
“All I’m asking for, George, is that we don’t break this country. When you break the process on which we elect our leaders, you will break America forever.”
Wow, this woman is a force to be reckoned with. I see a future president. Because it’s clear that for any Republican to win the presidency again, he or she must be ready to confront and defeat the Fake News media. Confront the lies. Confront the haters. Don’t surrender an inch to their narrative.
