If you want confirmation of your sneaking suspicion that something wasn’t right about the 2020 election, all you need to do is read the new cover article in Time magazine.
Titled “The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election,” the story by Molly Ball exposes the whole sordid bipartisan effort to engineer a victory for Joe Biden all the while setting up Trump as the fall guy.
Of course, Molly Ball as a leftist reporter is part of the shadow campaign, so she is adamant that there was nothing inappropriate about the conspiracy to unseat Trump, but when you look deeper you will see it’s not Trump who is the intended victim at all but the voters who were misled and manipulated.
Consider this quote from Ian Bassin, co-founder of Protect Democracy, one of the left-wing groups that saw itself as having to save “democracy” from the voters.
“Every attempt to interfere with the proper outcome of the election was defeated,” said Bassin. “But it’s massively important for the country to understand that it didn’t happen accidentally. The system didn’t work magically. Democracy is not self-executing.”
Do you get that? There is a “proper” outcome to the election which must be protected. Better to call it the “pre-ordained” outcome because if Trump had been declared the winner, you know that “Protect Democracy” would be screaming bloody murder.
But the pre-ordained outcome did not happen by accident. “Democracy is not self-executing,” we are told in the ultimate rebuke of “we the people.” It doesn’t work magically; it only works because our betters are there to put up the guardrails and guide us to the “proper” outcome.
Molly Ball even has the audacity to describe the “shadow campaign” accurately as a cabal that controlled the flow of information, but she thinks that’s a good thing! Listen to her describe why she is writing the story so quickly after the election:
“[T]he participants want the secret history of the 2020 election told, even though it sounds like a paranoid fever dream–a well-funded cabal of powerful people, ranging across industries and ideologies, working together behind the scenes to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information. They were not rigging the election; they were fortifying it. And they believe the public needs to understand the system’s fragility in order to ensure that democracy in America endures.”
They must be pretty confident that they now control all the levers of power because they’ve gone from denial of a conspiracy to bragging about it!
