No surprise! Trump wins CPAC poll easily

In advance of his speech to the CPAC convention Sunday afternoon, President Trump was announced the winner of the annual straw poll for who is favored for the 2024 presidential nomination.

Trump had 55 percent support, far ahead of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis with 21 percent and S.D. Gov. Kristi Noem in distant third place with 4 percent.

Among convention participants, only 68 percent said they hope Trump will indeed run in 2024, but there seems little chance of stopping him if he runs again.

Interestingly, if Trump opts not to run, Donald Trump Jr. comes in third place behind DeSantis and Noem.
