Tester will harvest enough votes to secure third term

Politics – Down and Dirty

Montana’s blue counties finally started counting votes again this morning and Sen. Jon Tester has taken the lead. He won’t give it up again. Lots of votes still coming in from Missoula, Great Falls and Bozeman, where Democrat Tester is running strong. We’ve seen similar overnight swings in Montana before, and I have a suspicion

Election tally so far: ‘Not too bad’ for Republicans

Politics – Down and Dirty

It’s still pretty early on election night, but the takeaway is that Democrats failed to convince large swaths of the country that Trump and the Republican Party are dangerous. 2010 column: ‘America’s moral crisis is threat to our security’

Politics – Down and Dirty

For the past week we have been treated to the spectacle of the mainstream media lecturing President Trump for talking about the dangers of a porous border. Politics – Down and Dirty

I’ve been watching the Sunday morning news talk shows as I have pretty much every week since 1967, and I have to say I am disgusted. Virtually every show has claimed that President Trump has been ignoring the brilliant economy and focusing on illegal immigration in his “closing argument” to voters — suggesting that he

Trump rocks Belgrade to support Rosendale for Senate

Politics – Down and Dirty

President a Trump returned to Montana for a record fourth time to support Matt Rosendale for Senate. The Bozeman International Airport at Belgrade hosted thousands of supporters who came to hear Trump deliver a fiery speech. AP reporter Darlene Superville seemed shocked that Trump said he was eager to unseat Sen. Jon Tester (see story)
