This was too delightful not to share. Rep. Steny Hoyer, second in command to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, told Fox News that “a wall that protects people is not immoral.”
That is a direct contradiction of Her Highness Pelosi, who famously said that a wall is “immoral,” even though she lives behind one!
Here’s Hoyer’s full comment, as quoted by Daily Caller:
“I don’t think [building a border wall] is an issue of morality,” Hoyer said responding to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, who has referred to a border wall as “an immorality” on multiple occasions.
“My own view is, this is not an issue of morality. A wall is immoral if it tries to imprison people who shouldn’t be imprisoned,” Hoyer told Fox News’ Bret Baier. “A wall that protects people is not immoral. I think the issue is whether it works.”
Bravo, Steny! And one thing we know for sure is that the border protection we have now doesn’t work worth a damn — which for what it’s worth makes it, ahem, immoral! #BuildTheWallSteny
