Please try to catch Mark Levin’s interview with journalist Lara Logan

I just caught the rerun of last weekend’s episode of “Life, Liberty & Levin,” in which Mark Levin interviews former “60 Minutes” anchor Lara Logan about the sorry state of journalism today.

Everyone who is dismayed about the state of journalism today should watch this interview, which is still available on YouTube.

Logan is the highest-placed mainstream journalist to blow the whistle on how her own industry has turned into a propaganda machine to promote left-wing causes and to destroy Donald Trump. There is hardly a dull moment as Logan excoriates her fellow journalists in this interview, so I won’t try to single out one quote. Everything she says is literally golden.

I’ve written previously about the podcast interview that Logan did earlier this year when she said she was committing career suicide by exposing the Fake News agenda of the major media. That may not be entirely true because she is such a major talent that she can probably return to TV and certainly can write bestsellers. It’s much harder for journalists with less cachet to turn their back on the liberal clique that journalism has become.

As a small town editor for 18 years, I discovered that as soon as I began to publish my own conservative commentary, I made others in the newsroom uncomfortable. If my column was mentioned, it was usually with a snicker. People in the community from the Democratic side tried to get me fired, but fortunately I had employers that respected my accomplishments and stood behind me.

Over the years I became a sworn enemy of Fake News and many of my columns were critiques of CNN, the New York Times, the Associated Press and others in the mainstream media (now collected in “The Media Matrix: What If Everything You Know Is Fake.”) What I discovered from that experience is that the average reader, the average citizen, supported me, but the politically connected were threatened by me. Multiply that by a thousand and you get close to the impact that Logan is having on her profession. Journalists are afraid of her, and for good reason.

Please consider purchasing one of my books at Amazon. My new book is “The Media Matrix: What If Everything You Know Is Fake?” — a look at Fake News from the perspective of a small-town newspaper editor. In addition, my “Why We Needed Trump” trilogy documents the downward spiral of the USA that made Trump’s presidency so important. The books are available at Amazon in paperback or Kindle editions. Go here for a free sample of “The Media Matrix”: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/sitb/B07PDQBJM4
