Mark Sanford, the governor of South Carolina who lied to his constituents in order to carry on an extramarital affair with an Argentinian journalist, says he is going to challenge Donald Trump for the GOP nomination because Trump is not fit to be president.
Yep, the circus train that is Trump Derangement Syndrome just got a new caboose.
Sanford isn’t the first RINO to challenge Trump, but let’s face it — they are all at best annoying flies buzzing around the real RHINO that is the invincible Donald Trump.
You can read about my earlier reporting on the quixotic candidacies of Fake Republicans William Weld and Joe Walsh, but Sanford’s arrogant delusions of being the GOP savior may be untoppable.
Sanford announced his intentions on “Fox News Sunday” with Chris Wallace, and even the anti-Trump Wallace could not quite believe what he was hearing.
WALLACE (in disbelief): You’re going to run for president against Donald Trump in the Republican race?
SANFORD: I am. I am.
WALLACE (in shocked disbelief): Why?
This may be the best that Chris Wallace has ever been, and for once he spoke with America instead of against us.

Bush and Barack Obama, and Trump’s war to restore American greatness, read my “Why We Needed Trump” trilogy.
