Schiff uses fake law to order witness not to talk about whistleblower he doesn’t know! Sad.

The Soviet-style impeachment hearing took a dark turn this morning as Chairman Adam Schiff invoked a non-existent law to gag a witness from testifying in response to a question from Rep. Devin Nunes.

Schiff claimed that the anonymity of the whistleblower is protected by law. It is not. The whistleblower cannot be identified by the inspector general, but he can be identified by anyone else.

Nunes had asked Lt. Col. Vindman who he had talked to outside the White House about the Trump-Zelensky phone call. Vindman said he talked to a “member of the Intelligence Community.” When Nunes tried to find out which agency in particular, Schiff interrupted him and told Vindman not to answer because he might help Republicans to learn the identity of the whistleblower.

The irony of this, as Nunes pointed out, is that Vindman has testified he doesn’t know the identity of the whistleblower. Therefore, he cannot “out” the whistleblower. But under Schiff’s bizarre rules, it is becoming pretty clear who the whistleblower is. That’s because oddly enough, only one person in the government with specific expertise on Ukraine is never ever mentioned. You can read about that individual here. He is presumably the person that Schiff is protecting, even though Schiff claims that he doesn’t know the identity of the whistleblower either!

Nunes did a great job of exposing the duplicity of Both Vindman’s and Schiff with this line of questioning. Watch my YouTube video to see it for yourself.

  1. Adam Schiff says he does not know the name of the Whistleblower. We know he lied. Devon Nunes attempting to ask Vittman who he spoke with after the call was brilliant. Schiff spouting about a “non-existent” law about exposing the name of the Whistleblower is, of course, brilliant for Schiff, too. Schiff knows that the GOP do not have the law at their fingertips, so Nunes & Co., ought to challenge him every time they disagree with his perfunctory, pompous, and officious rule making just as a matter of course because he is probably bluffing.
