Wow! A U.S. attorney has now admitted in court that surveillance footage from outside Jeffrey Epstein’s New York prison cell during his first alleged suicide attempt has vanished!
The New York Post reports that Assistant US Attorney Jason Swergold had first “told White Plains federal Judge Kenneth Karas in December that the footage was missing — and then backtracked the next day, claiming it had been preserved.”
But that was then. In the mysterious world of the death of Jeffrey Epstein, nothing is what it seems to be.
In a Thursday filing, Swergold admitted that the Metropolitan Correctional Center had preserved footage amid the investigation — only it was the wrong cell in the Lower Manhattan jail.
“The Government has learned that the MCC inadvertently preserved video from the wrong tier within the MCC, and, as a result, video from outside the defendant’s cell on July 22 – 23, 2019 (i.e. the requested video) no longer exists,” the letter reads.
Curiouser and curiouser. In fact, the Epstein case may rival only the John F. Kennedy assassination for the largest number of coincidences in the service of an “official story” in search of a gullible audience. Meanwhile, conspiracy theories will profligate. (I even offered one of my own days after Epstein’s death.)
The missing video had been sought by a lawyer for Epstein’s one-time cellmate, Nicholas Tartaglione, who is trying to prove that his client — a former cop awaiting trial for murder — is not responsible for the neck injuries Epstein sustained during the first so-called suicide attempt.
It was Epstein’s death overnight on August 10, 2019, that raised the most questions. Epstein appeared in good spirits the night before and was looking forward to meeting his lawyer the next day. Apparently his jailers violated numerous protocols during the evening, including not looking in on the prisoner. Epstein was taken off suicide watch even though his previous attempt had just been two weeks prior. He supposedly hanged himself from his bunk bed but a well-known forensic pathologist Michael Baden said he never had seen the kind of injuries exhibited by Epstein in such a hanging. He said it looked more like a strangulation. Oh yes, and the video footage from the night of the suicide is also missing!
The fact is that Epstein, a convicted sex offender, knew the secrets of many politicians and celebrities who had visited his so-called Orgy Island and sex ranch. If he had started talking to prosecutors, he could have ended numerous careers and possibly sent famous politicians to jail.
His death was just as much a necessity to Hollywood and Washington, DC, as was the death of Marilyn Monroe, who had affairs with both JFK and his brother Robert Kennedy, the Attorney General. And ultimately, Epstein was as disposable as John Kennedy was when his risky behavior put the rich and famous in danger.
More will be revealed, but chances are that like the Kennedy assassination, the death of Jeffrey Epstein will forever be shrouded in mystery. Those that done him in done did a good job.

Ed…another mystery for us, just like JFK, as you said. I doubt anyone does a “Warren Report” on Epstein…and it wouldn’t be accurate anyway, would it?
There will be many books written. I assume Barr will issue a garbage report through DOJ. They got away with it, though the prison guards may do time.
You put it together. Jeffrey Epstein dead was supposed to make Clinton and other cronies breathe easier, but the joke was on them. Mysteries are meant to be solved. As you said, though, the truth of JFK, Marilyn Monroe, and other inconvenient people have questions surrounding their inconvenient ends. Now Epstein? No video? Guards sleeping? Sheets without blood from Epstein’s neck? He had a bloody neck which looks as though a rough rope strangled him. Aaron Hernandez met the same fate. Nobody looked into the Aaron Hernandez supposed suicide and some prisoner got a reputation inside the prison for taking him out. Power. Same with Epstein. Someone took him out for Hillary or some other celebrity. Hillary has money. MI-5 or MI-6 could have done it without a trace. Jim Comey’s gang may have had a hand in it. Both Hernandez and Epstein did not have the doomsday personality needed for taking their own life. Each had just met with their respective lawyer. Each had hope to fight another day. The district attorney for the state of New York should be questioned. No question Epstein was a lowlife but this murder and cover-up worries me. If Epstein today, who tomorrow?
