What the hell is wrong with John Roberts of Fox News? Has he been ordered by his bosses to be more like Chris Wallace, the Trump-hating host of “Fox News Sunday”?
Wallace set up President Trump at Tuesday’s debate with a misleading question that made it sound like Trump is a racist and a supporter of white supremacists. The president told Wallace he denounces white supremacy, as he has repeatedly, but it wasn’t good enough for the hyena race-baiters in the media.
For the last two days, they have tried every which way to report that Trump is a racist just like he is Putin’s puppet. I feel sorry for the morons who actually believe this nonsense.
Roberts got the first question at Tuesday’s briefing and wasted it by asking McEnany to definitively state that the president denounces white supremacy. She did just that, and then Roberts pretended he never heard any of it.
“Can you right now denounce white supremacy and the groups that espouse it?” Roberts again asked.
“I just did,” McEnany said, accusing Roberts of contriving a story by hunting for facts to fit his predetermined narrative.
That was immediately followed by Paula Reid of CBS fighting with McEnany on the same topic, claiming that the president has a “mixed” record on race. McEnany tried to lead Reid to the truth, but the reporter kept talking over her response, leading McEnany to deliver the perfect zinger:
“It is quite funny that the media goes haywire about interrupting in debates and then chooses to pursue that very same tactic themselves,” McEnany said. “This is a White House briefing. You ask a question, and you give me time to answer.”
Of course, I’m not surprised when Reid or Kaitlan Collins of CNN lie about Trump; that’s what they are paid to do. But what about Roberts? Is this the last nail in the coffin of the formerly “fair and balanced” Fox News? Is Fox going to be the next conservative news source to sell out to the far left? The Drudge Report has turned into nonstop lies about Trump, and it may be the direction Fox wants to go.
I just hope that Tucker Carlson, Hannity, Laura Ingraham and a few others get out before they are fired/co-opted by the idiots who run the channel. (It was disheartening to watch most of the voices on Fox silenced after the debate when they should have been calling out Wallace as the worst debate moderator in history.
